STORIES FROM THE 'BURNIAN

The ‘Burnian is Illinois’ oldest college newspaper having begun publication in 1881. The student-ran paper (with faculty advisement) is a bi-weekly publication whose mission is to deliver, accurate, interesting and timely news to the Blackburn campus as well as the Carlinville community in an ethical and professional manner. I worked as a one of the staff writers and produced several campus news articles, features and profiles.

STORIES FROM UPDATE MAGAZINE

Update is Blackburn College's alumni magazine released by the Office of Public Relations and Marketing at the college. The magazine is released twice each year containing features of campus events, profiles on current students and alumni and historical pieces about the college's rich history. I was one of the staff writers and contributed numerous pieces to the publication to help promote the college's brand and image to the alumni.
